Ron Martinez:
Area Manager, District V North (Payson & Globe)
We’ll let Ron speak for
himself- “I was born and
raised in the
Globe/Miami area; an
area known for its
copper production and
which is somewhat
famous for its role in
early Arizona history.
Care Solutions

The "blue collar" work ethic is what we were raised by
but education was still valued by our parents, many of
whom had to find work to help support the family. I was
raised by my grandmother who taught me that there
was a value in every item and that respect for others
would take you a long way. After graduating from Globe
High I had the opportunity to attend Northern Az.
University and graduated with a degree in Sociology in
1979. I pursued a career in the Criminal Justice field
which included thirteen years as a probation officer in
Gila County. I grew tired of the negative and
irresponsible attitude of the clients I dealt with and
initially thought of becoming a teacher. Instead, I took a
job as a case manager with DDD in 1999 and my
involvement with these families restored my faith in
humanity. I admired their determination, creativity, and
their ability to put a smile on their faces in spite of the
odds they faced. However, case management changed
dramatically and I was fortunate to be offered a position
with Arion Care Solutions where I could have a more
direct impact on the lives of DDD families. I have lived in
Payson since 1985 and am married to a very supportive
wife, Kristin, with our three children (ranging in age
from 10 to 1). I also have a 16 year old daughter from
my first marriage who lives in Payson as well. We enjoy
being active with sports, the outdoors, are big baseball
fans (we have attended games in stadiums across the
country), and center our lives around our family.
Helping families achieve their dreams and trying to
make their lives a little more comfortable is what I enjoy
most about this job. I always try to keep in mind one of
my father's favorite sayings, "I once felt sorry for myself
because I had no shoes. Then one day I saw a man who
had no feet".
