another. After moving to Arizona from
Minnesota in 1989, Joni began working in a
group home doing direct care for 6 multiply
handicapped men. She then moved on to
group home management, program
coordination for a total of 8 years. From there
she went on to work with a Home and
Community based services agency serving the
developmentally disabled as well as the
managed care population. Positions held
were HCBS program coordinator, program
manager, Director of the Yavapai County
office and then finally Director of the East
Valley, Mesa office. After leaving the private
sector in 2004, Joni landed a job with the
Division of Developmental Disabilities where
she worked as a Support Coordinator and
then as a Supervisor of Support Coordination
until October 2009 when she came on board
with Arion Care Solutions as the North East
Area Manager. In her spare time Joni enjoys
spending time with her immediate family
(Chris, Tyler, Brianna, and Dylan) and going
back to the Midwest to visit extended family in
the summer time. “Those Minnesota lakes are
sure nice to “play” in when it’s 110 degrees
here in the desert!”
